Two truths, one life

The deeper the roots,
the wider the branches.

Your name is how the world finds you.
It was never all of what you are.

The world needs to name us so it can function — and that naming is useful, and real, and not the whole truth. Underneath it there is something quieter that was never anywhere else. Most of us were simply never told to look. This is one tree, not two: touch a root and watch which parts of your life it reaches.

Peace is not somewhere you get to. It is what is left when you put the rest down. Touch the still point at the centre of the tree, any time.

The rooted life

Today

Three breaths. That is enough.

“The person who knows what is underneath handles what is on top better. Not by caring less — by gripping less.”

The whole argument, in one sentence. Every page has to earn it.

Two ways in

Start from the problem you actually have, or from the question underneath it. They meet in the middle either way.

What this is, plainly

Nothing to join

No labels, no camp, no membership. What is written here either matches your experience when you test it, or it does not. That is the only authority any of it claims.

Written plainly

No special vocabulary, nothing you need to look up, no words in another language. If a sentence here needs a glossary, it has failed.

Always a practice

No teaching without something you can actually do today, in the time you actually have. Insight you cannot act on is decoration.

Nothing collected

No accounts, no tracking, no advertising. What you write stays in your browser. There is nothing here to sign up for.
